Founded as St Anne’s Music Society, and renowned for its annual Bach Festival each July, Music-at-Hill hosts free Friday lunchtime concerts in central London throughout the year.

Our Society

Founded in 1969, the Society began as an outreach ministry of the Lutheran congregation based at the Wren church of St Anne & Agnes near St Paul’s Cathedral.

Run by a small team of volunteers, we pride ourselves on running one of the friendliest concert societies and one of the longest running chamber recital series in central London.

Moving to our current home at St Giles-in-the-Fields in 2019, we managed to fit in six months of music-making prior to the coronavirus pandemic, resuming regular concerts again during the course of 2021. Our renowned Friday lunchtime series remains the Society’s prime activity, as well as occasional evening fixtures with our partner orchestra, the Albion Chamber Orchestra.

Our concerts have temporarily relocated to Holy Sepulchre Church at Holborn Viaduct, as a result of building works taking place at St Giles-in-the-Fields during autumn 2023.
